1. Banking information: eliminate your name + address + postal code + phone number on your cheques
2. Only put on your name on the cheques
3. Medical Fraud is eliminated by having your medical card with a picture on it and only a medical card. If you are asked to put your driver's license together with your medical card say no please.
4. Social insurance card - do not carry around in you wallet. Only keep it in a safe with your passport
5. Medcial card number- don't give away your children's medical card number on sport's registration forms. Not needed. 
6. Ensure you get outside of BC or any province or state- medical coverage. Your own coverage for the time that your family or child is away from the area playing in a tournament or competition

I am a single mom of 3 boys and raising my children, I started day care 20 years ago. I have been caring for many children for years, but I NEVER expected the following to happen to me. 

I received a phone call late in the afternoon from one of my day care moms telling me her 11 year old son had gone to the school counselor and told the counselor I had abused him, the other children in day care, and my own 4 year old son and the counselor had called the Dept. of Human Services to report me for abuse.
